The street photography project "Far From Home" presents street photographs in the context that convey the feeling of Otherness. The photographer, who grew up and lived in Silom area after their Chinese mother relocated there, moved to a dormitory during their university years. The distance from home and the rapid changes in Silom made every return feel different from their memories. Familiarity faded, creating a sense of being an outsider in the place they had lived since childhood. This project explores the photographer's feelings towards the changes in the area they once called home and their transition from feeling like an insider to feeling like an outsider in a place they had always lived.
